We’d love to hear from you

TAKE IN THE SIGHTS OF DUBAI IN JUST FOUR DAYS!
You’re only a short flight away from the rest of the world. Exotic landscapes and destinations that you could only ever before have imagined, are yours for the taking. So, it’s a brave (as in splendid) new world, and none braver than Dubai. For sheer scope and scale – radically modern and yet steeped in history, rich in Bedouin culture and yet cosmopolitan and diverse – Dubai stands alone.
Once a small fishing and trading settlement on the shores of the Arabian Gulf that connected Asia, Africa, and Europe, Dubai became an essential world trading hub. And then there was oil, in the mid 20th century, and Dubai’s economy went stellar.
So, along with Moslem culture, Souks, and Arabic, Persian and Indian cuisine, you get:
Our favourite stay is three days at the Hilton Dubai Al Habtoor City Grand Suite. With its multiple outdoor pools and free shuttle services to the beach and the mall, it’s a holiday on its own.
Or you can venture forth for the schedule below:
It’s hard to imagine that even sixty years ago Dubai was a small town, not much more than a fishing village, and yet now they have a building – the Burj Khalifa – from the top of which you can see the shores of Iran. The spire alone, if located in Europe, would be the 11th tallest building there. You can’t visit Dubai, or even the Emirates, and not visit the highest viewing platform in the world.
The Dubai Aquarium and the Underwater Zoo, with more than thirty thousand sea species between them, is significant for anyone, marine enthusiasts and ordinary folk alike.
Dubai famously has the biggest and best of everything, and the Aquarium and the Underwater Zoo are no exception. You really need two days to see and appreciate everything – from the 48 metre walk-through glass viewing tunnel, to the glass bottom boats through which you can watch divers feeding sharks and rays, or go scuba diving, or cage snorkelling, and if you’re feeling brave enough, shark diving. Not to mention three different ecosystems you can stroll through, with everything from Humboldt Penguins to African Dwarf Crocodiles, to Lionfish.
Wheelchair and stroller accessible. Guests should arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled time.
From a wide range of extraordinary places, encounters and adventures in Dubai, the most remarkable – according to many people – is the desert surrounding the city. And when asked what they liked most about the desert, most people said not the quad bikes or the sand skiing, or the dancing, but the silence. Which is why we recommend the desert to you: riding a camel through the dunes and hyacinths to the east of the city, or camping out under a swathe of stars, Bedouin style, the silence will engulf you.

Dubai is a city and emirate in the United Arab Emirates known for luxury shopping, ultramodern architecture and a lively nightlife scene. Burj Khalifa, an 830m-tall tower, dominates the skyscraper-filled skyline. At its foot lies Dubai Fountain, with jets and lights choreographed to music. On artificial islands just offshore is Atlantis, The Palm, a resort with water and marine-animal parks.
